Instructions & Care

It is important to sterilise bottle-feeding equipment until your baby is 12 months old. All baby's immune system aren't developed/strong enough to fight off certain bacteria and infections, so sterilising equipment reduces your baby's chance of getting sick.

Suitable Sterilsation Methods for Lil'Kooee Products

Initial Post-Feed Clean

It is important to clean bottle-feeding equipment after every feed.

Here is our recommended post-feed cleaning process

Sterilsing By Boiling

Boiling is the simpliest and most reliable way of sterilising your bottle-feeding equipment.

It is our most recommended method of sterilisation.

Sterilising By Steam

Steam sterilisation utilises automatic steam sterilisers that heat your bottle-feeding equipment to a temperature high enough to kill bacteria

It is our second-most recommended method of sterilisation

Sterilsing by Chemicals

You can sterilise your bottle-feeding equipment with an anti-bacterial solution that comes in liquid or tablet form.

Here is our recommended chemical sterilsation process

Sterilsing By Microwave

These units are similar to steam sterilisers, but instead you put them in the microwave.

Due to how Polyamide (PA) behaves when exposed to microwave energy, we DO NOT recommend microwave sterilisation. Click 'View' to read why.

Sterilsing by UV Light

A newly available and increasingly popular sterilsation method.

However, due to prolonged UV Light exposure causing material degradation for both plastic and silicone in general, this is our least recommended method of sterilisation.
